Hello sunrise68.  Sorry to learn of your mum's situation.  You could perhaps speak with your mum's doctor or nurses if she is receiving care from them.  But bear in mind that it is difficult to give definite answers.  Two people, with the same condition at the same stage, can have significant variance in how long they will live.  The best indicators - in my admittedly not very large experiences - are observed by the carers like yourself who will notice the changes in your mum's condition.  Having said that I can understand that you want to have a rough idea and the medics should be able to give you that.  Sorry to write to matter-of-factly about your beloved mum; I am sure this is very distressing for you.  Annie
