I am so sorry you haven't received a response yet and I imagine you have now had your scan and chemotherapy assessment. How did your appointment go? I hope it all went smoothly for you.

Hi there debs ... not quite sure what this scan is for ... I had one that was like ultra sound , like you have when pregnant ... but don't think it's that scan as eating and drinking are allowed ..

I had a nuclear scan ... where they looked at lymph nodes and breast .. o.k I've had so many scans I've just thought c t scan ... now I can't remember being told not to eat ... that's confused me a tad ... but it is nearly a year ago ... as far as l remember they give you either a drink of something an hour before that shows on scan where there's a problem, or inject a dye ... but sure I had drink ... 

It isn't painfull and I took a tape /C D in to listen to West life to take my mind off it ... just bit boring really and nothing to be scared about ...  as for chemo assessment I can't help .. although l had a grade 3 her 2 neg lump it was contained and didn't need chemo ... so it's not always the same for the grades ... l will ask one of us breast ladies if they can help with chemo info ...

There's quite a few of us on here .. I'm nearly 11 months post mastectomy and doing really well .. there is light at the end of tunnel ... any questions just ask ... one of us will know .. Chrissie x
