Sorry to hear your mother-in-law's diagnosis, it's a very worrying time. Do you know what stage the cancer is and what her treatment plan is?

I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in September 2016. I thought my world had ended and was terrified. I too had ascites, which was drained in the beginning.

All I can say, without knowing any more details is that the treatment available is amazing, and new drugs being developed all the time. I'm doing ok, although incurable my cancer is being controlled. The chemo is no where near as bad as I thought it would be.
