My father has been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer which has spread to other areas of his body. Today we have been told his operation has been postponed and im really concerned that he is been left too long. 
I understand there are many people in the same position but he will have been left over 6 weeks with no treatment after the final diagnosis.

Am i right in thinking this is too long? or is this normal procedure?  
Any feedback would be great as i am so concerned.
