just been told i have cancer of the larynx

Hi everyone i have just been told i have cancer of the larynx also enlarged lymph nodes in both lungs. They just said we need to start treatment asap and that was it. so i not got a clue how long before they see me again or what happens next which is the hard part . i feel ok and took it ok more upset about members of the family and how they feeling . can anyone give me a idea what happens next . thank you dave

    welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your diagnosis

    i am 3.5 years post Tomotherapy and chemo for throat cancer I guess you will get similar treatment on your larynx, but there will be differences

    I guess your medical team will now ***ess your cancer and be planning your treatment .... from the sounds of it you will get this fairly soon and you will most probably get a start date too.

    There are several options .... an operation, radio or chemo therapy or any combination of, one, two or all to suit your specific treatment.

    I know you want all the answers now, but you are unique and your treatment is being tailored specifically, that takes a little time in a brilliant NHS, 

    letus is now how you get on and ask anything you want whenever
