Me Too 2

So things have moved on a bit since my first post. I had a CT scan and I have secondary cancer in my spine and shoulder. It just keeps on coming doesn't it? Luckily I have no symptoms of it, no aches and no pain, hard to imagine it's there really.  I have to have a bone scan and visit the Oncology department next week before the doctors can create a treatment plan. The way I feel at the moment I want them to chuck everything at it and kill the parasite! Guess I'm at the anger stage now. Three weeks ago I was well, happy and looking to the future - now..... who knows.

  • Hi Hazel. My husband has also recently had a ct scan and they suspect the bowel cancer had spread to his liver  he too has no symptoms of this issue with his liver and is now waiting for a MRI on the 22nd  to give a more detailed picture so a treatment plan can be discussed on the 4th June.

I agree how things change and alter your life in a few weeks it doesn’t seem possible. One thing people have said to me on here is that it’s so important to keep that hope and possitive attitude. Use that anger and be determined to beat this if not for ever then for as long as you possibly can. Don’t give in to this, try to be strong.

Not knowing the full details is the hardest thing for us at the moment as I suspect it is for you.

    Take care regards Janet

  • Hi ... so that pesky (not allowed to put the real word I wanted) cancer is in for round two ... glad your angry, that's fighting talk ... you did it once ... kick it's *** again lass, you can do it ... l bet it thinks you'll just give in this time ... I've got a spare pair of boxing gloves ...

There's quite a few on here, who are taking on secondary ... and still here to tell the tail ... jolomine is a grate example of grabbing it by the tail and swinging it around and punching it blow for blow ...

Wer all here with you ... that's why l don't look too far ahead ... it's not about winning or loosing this journey. . It's about looking it square in the eyes, and not letting it change who you are ..

And janCaf ... sending your hubby positive vibes too ...  big hug to both of ya ... Chrissy

  • Hope he is okay and things work out. Prayers, love and hugs to you both.xxx
