I need answers... soscared

I was told 17th April I have cancer in my Neck lymph nodes  showing CA125  but my body scan is showing no primary. So awaiting outcome of MDM's breast , ovarian  and CUP.  I am so scared, has anyone eles got this result, what can i expect from possible treatment.

    Hi there ... your right ... breath.... nice slow breaths ... 

    Everyone diagnosed knows that first feeling ... but no one except your oncology team, or Dr can give you more info ... your on the radar ... they seem like they are collecting all the info from scans etc ...

    Treatment is different for every one, as every cancer is a tad different ... the one thing you need to do, is try to calm down as everything about this journey is waiting ... tests /results / Drs appointments and treatments ... that's why we are called 'patient's' and why the doctors have "waiting rooms" so if your in panic mode now, you'll wear your brain out and you'll need to get through each step ... it's natural to feel scared, and confused .. but try to .... breath .... 

    This isn't about quick fixes ... it's about getting the right frame of mind, to get in the ring ... boxing gloves on ... and throw punch for punch with cancer ... this is doable ... wer all here to tell the tale ... yes we don't always win this journey of ours .. but we all try to kick cancers butt .. 

    So try to keep as busy as poss ... and do as normal things as you can, even though everything feels anything but normal ... and don't forget wer all there with you .. different diagnosis ... different treatments .. but wer all in the same club ... now BREATH  ..... Chrissie x

    Listen to Chrissie. Yes the waiting is hard. We’ve all had our share of that and some of us have more. Try to breath and take each step as it cones. Easier said than done, I know. And sometimes its easier done than other times.  When I’ve been really low, the folk here have been great support. Talk, rant or just ask for advice from anyone on here and they will be there for you.

    Hi Chrissie, 

    Thank you for you reply and your support, Sadly I'm  not new to the path I  now find myself on, i had breast cancer in 2001, chemo, rad, and hormonal  therapy. But where I find myself is different, been told its unusual!  Thats why I wondering if anyone eles had had a similar situation. 

    Keeping busy does help

    Hi T ... so sorry it's resurfaced ... life and cancer is crule ... it seems to just wait ... 

    But you did this once, l still say, once the shock goes a tad ... get back in that ring and go for round 2 ... our jolomine had the same a couple of times ... and a few others on here .. Dave has beaten the odds and pushes boundaries every day ...

    We are here for you ... just worried it was overwhelming you and then it's harder to look it square in the eye again. .  Any time you need a shoulder, we do know these feelings ... I'm just waiting for my second lot of breast lump result Tuesday ... so it hopefully is o.k but I could be in the same boat ... but my boxing gloves are ready and waiting ... so come on you can do this ... 

    Yes can't forget .... and breath  ; ))  xx

    Hi Chris thank you still not heard from hospital but the further it gets from the 17th the more familiar it becomes the more of Me appears . I'm remembering I'm a tough weeble, I wobble but I don't fall down.

    sorry to hear that for the second time you are going through this again 

    if it’s any consolation I am now 3.75 years post treatment for a tongue based cancer that as a secondary lodged itself in a single right neck lymph node. After several exploritory opps and a pet ct scan, a primary was never found .... this happens apparently.

    Let’s us know how you get on
