Prostate C

hello

I'm new to this and feel sick to my stomach. My partner the Doc has just today been diagnosed with prostate cancer, pelvic bone cancer and hotspots on left shoulder and right arm. His PSA was 284 in March when he was admitted with urosepsis and a very enlarged prostate to our local hospital. He has started hormone therapy today and oncologists looking at way to treat him possibly with radiotherapy. Has anyone else had a diagnosis like this and how are you doing. I'm in pieces and looking for people in similar boat.

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Bigdoc.

I'm sorry to read about your partner's diagnosis but I'm glad there are some treatment options available to try to keep the cancer at bay. [@rrcarcio]‍ and [@joeven]‍ have been in similar situations to your partner and hopefully they'll pop by when they can to say hello and share their experiences with you. It may also be worth checking out the prostate cancer uk website as they have a forum similar to ours which is solely dedicate to prostate cancer.

I hope the hormone therapy is successful and that the oncologists are able to incorporate radiotherapy in to his treatment plan as well.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi

Not heard from you for some time, I sincerely hope your husband is still with us, his symptoms were nearly exactly the same as mine, just be nice to know how he is doing.

I ve had a fair few assorted things happen to me just hope he does not go through what I suffered from.

    Take care to you both
