I’m going to the hospital tomorrow for CT scan and body marking for 6 weeks treatment,can someone tell what body marking is and how it’s done please,,,,
I just wanted to wish you good luck with your appointment at the hospital tomorrow and share some information we have about CT scans and body marking for radiotherapy. Hi I had body marking before radiotherapy for breast cancer,it was where I had tiny dots tattood in the area that was going to be targeted by the beam,didn't,t feel anything at all,they were about size of a dot from a biro,hope this helps and good luck for tomorrow x
Hi Jeffrey, sorry I didn't see your post in time , as Jipster said "it's just tiny little marks they tattoo on a couple of spots on your body ", they use them to position you on the bed in exactly the same place each time you're having treatment , absolutely painless and virtually invisible, probably about the size of a full stop on this page .
