Aggressive small cell cancer

Hello everyone

On Tuesday of this week my father aged 82, got his diagnosis.  He had a cough since November and after an eight week cruise got back in March and the cough had got considerably worse. He had a lot of tests over a two and a half week period to reach the diagnosis this week.  When we got the results the oncologist took him to start a six cycle of chemotherapy with immediate effect, along with steroids and oxygen to help breathing.  We have not been told how long he has. I am also keen to know if he will be able to eat normally again.  Also has anyone planned a holiday for after the last dose of chemo.

any info would be so appreciated.
