  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Jena, although I'm sorry to hear about the reason that brings you here.

I hope that some of our members who can relate to your experience will stop by soon to share their stories with you but until you hear from them feel free to reach out to one of our cancer nurses if you think that talking with someone medically trained can help. They are available on this number 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday, between 9 a.m - 5 p.m.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello jena and welcome.  It has been a bit hectic over the bank holiday weekend what with people spending the bank holiday away from home.  I have no experience of rectal cancer at all but took a look at previous posts to see if I could anything that might help you.

The poster @chub1 doesn't mention treatment - she had just been diagnosed when she posted but you could respond to her post and see what treatment she is now being offered. Also lindloo who answered chub1's post talks about the treatment being offered to her father which might also be of interest to you.  Best wishes. Annie
