Lung cancer

Hi everyone after having a great 50th birthday in spain I have now been diagnosed with lung cancer it was a massive shock!!!! Meant to  be having  top lobe removed on Tuesday but surgeon now worried because lymph node is large so have to have camera first on Monday, praying to god it hasn't spread. Everything has happened so fast but I am trying to stay positive apart from yesterday I lost it everything just hit me like a brick wall.

  • Hello Wendy; this must have been a shock to you - did you have no symptoms?   You have a right to  be shocked and frightened - who wouldn't be?   Thank goodness your appointment is on Monday so you won't have to hang around much longer waiting for information.  You don't mention your family but I hope they are there giving you any help and support which would help you in these waiting days.  Please let us know how you get on; come to this forum and post as often as you want in the meantime.  Annie
