Womb cancer

My mum has recently been diagnosed with womb cancer. I don't know how to cope, I really don't

  • Hello scareddaughter; I am so pleased you have come to this forum.  Sorry to read the bad news about your mum.  I would suggest that you find out as much as you can about your mum's cancer - has it been caught early, what are the doctors saying?  Knowledge is a good thing to have and it stops your imagination running too far amok.  Talk to your mum about it and how she is feeling.  You don't say what other family you have but I hope there are others who will help your mum and yourself through this.  Can you go to her appointments with her?  You can ring the nurses here (Freefone 0808 800 4040) if you want to discuss what is happening - they work Monday to Friday  9am-5pm.  Also helpful would be a call to MacMillan Cancer Support (Freefone 0808 808 0000) who give support and advice to anyone with cancer or caring for a loved one with cancer.    I guess what I am saying is don't keep it all within yourself and start panicking.  There is help out there (and here - please keep us informed about how things are going).  Annie
