My nan is on chemotherapy tablets and the nurse told her not to take paracetamol for a fever, which is fine, but can she still take them for a headache?
Hello, it is me again! Now I am no expert but a friend getting chemotherapy told me that she had been told not to take paracetamol because if she had an infection the paracetamol would lower her temperature and thus mask the infection. But I have no real knowledge other than being told this so I should check it out with your doctor.
Maybe the nurses here could help with this? Or somebody who can speak from experience? Annie
