B Cell Lymphoma - brain

My dad has just been diagnosed with bcell lymphoma in the brain .He has 3 tumours and currently undergoing aggressive chemo .he has just pick up an infection and is now in isolation. The doctor said the infection is attacking his white blood cells. But what does that mean in terms of can this be deadly.. My dad is being treated in Germany so only getting secondary information from my mother.

  • Hi there ... it must be so worrying being in a different country ... although no one can tell you what your dad's prognosis is, as we are just going through our journey or like you, family looking after someone ...but hopefully "ask the nurses" may pick this up, and help you with more info then l can ..

But welcome to our little chat room, where there's always someone who knows how hard it is , and scary as well on this cancer rollercoaster we find our self on ... sending you both a big caring hug ... hold on in there ... hope your dad improves soon ... Chrissie x

  • Thank you for you kind words... Rollercoaster is the right word and so many questions, ones I don't really want to ask my mum in case it upsets here. Iv planned a trip out to see them so hopefully then I can ask my questions. Thank you again for your reply xx
