Kidney Cancer and Ph Levels

Hi am trying to get data for PH levels when first diagnosed with Cancer and also PH Levels for patients that are in Spontaneous Remission, this data does not seem to be available for some reason and I find it quite strange and there must be a link to diet etc with these Patients so surely we should look to these people for clues with real data, my brother as just been diagnosed with Kidney Cancer that as spread into spine at 49 and he is so matter of fact and I am looking for facts but I seem to have got nowhere.

Renal cell cancer is one of the few tumors in which well-documented cases of spontaneous tumor regression in the absence of therapy exist, but this occurs very rarely and may not lead to long-term survival.

so before he gets his 1st treatment my question is Are there any studies comparing the treatment protocol to patients who do nothing?

just my own thought on things, surely if you are diagnosed to not having any prospect to a cure ie Palliative care, having a open mind is the key, trying new things with a hope to a cure, there is a belief that antioxidants, which naturally occur in fruit and vegetables, may slow or even prevent the development of cancer. So why not change  diet there are clues between diet and prevention of disease what are your thoughts?

His Cancer Specialist told him basically to eat what he wants and I find this quite insulting.

  • I agree with his consultant.

I have myeloma, a remitting relapsing cancer. I was told it's all about quality of life. Eat what you want, have a drink or three if that appeals

There is no one treatment that suits all. There is no diet that will fix all. There are no alternative protocols that cure all, or indeed anybody.

Each patient acts and reacts differently to their cancer and each carer cares differently and thinks different things are important.

All any of us can reasonably do, is be sufficient to the moment.

    Best Regards
