Hi, I was diagnosed yesterday with stage 1 breast cancer. My emotions are all over the place and I keep bursting into tears. Would appreciate any thoughts on how to manage and handle this emotional rolla coaster .
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis but the good news is it has been caught early which means it can be treated. Many members here have spoken about the range of emotions that have gone through when finding out they've been diagnosed with cancer and I'm sure some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice but in the meantime I have included some information we have on our website about coping emotionally with cancer which I hope will help you at this time.
I was diagnosed in sept with stage 1 Breast cancer. I was the same as you, crying all the time. Ive had 2 sessions of chemo so far. Will need 8 in total.
Hi there ... I've got stage 3 her 2 breast cancer... I'm 4 months post mastectomy and doing really well ..I'm still standing as the song goes ... the mastectomy wasn't half as bad as my mind was telling me ... I think the worsed part for me was the waiting for appointments/ results / operation etc , but now looking back, if I could have seen how things went... I wouldn't have panicked...
Yours is a Grade 1 so it's caught early ... if you can just live one day at a time and not look at the whole picture it won't be so overwhelming... you will though , have all those emotions, it's only natural on hearing that horrible word we all dread ... so be kind to yourself and it's like jumping on a really long scary roller coaster, so you have to hold on tight... it will be a lot of highs and lows .. but your not on your own, lots of us on here aready walking the same path as you ...

Hi just joined this myself as im having problems and cant get to see breast clinic at hospital until another 3weeks worried sick as ive had 4 breast procedures inside 3yrs but symptoms im having now are totally different which makes me think something else is going on but dont know what.if u dont mind me asking what symptoms did u have??
