Welcome to the forum Marycat although I'm sorry to hear of your mum's diagnosis.
I just thought I would stop by and give you our cancer nurses telephone number as they will be in the best position to help. Their freephone number is 0808 800 4040 and are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m so do give them a call when you can.
Let us know how your mum's appointment goes when you can Marycat, we'll have our fingers crossed for the best outcome for this diagnosis.
Best wishes to you both,

Hi Marycat
A quick welcome to the forum though sorry to read what brings you here. My husband had Mesothelioma and from experience know that it can be overwhelming when you first get the diagnosis. As far as questions for tomorrow's appointment the best advice I was given (and took) was to write them down when you think of something and then write down the answers too. So easy to forget what you are told at the time. I am sure your Mum's oncologist will be able to discuss possible treatment plans depending on your Mum's own diagnosis. My hubby was never actually given a staging but we had a lovely consultant and her team were very patient as they explained what lay ahead depending on the kind of treatment options on offer.
If you have questions after your Mum's appointment or just need to chat am happy to listen. The nurses on this site will also be able to guide you. Jules54
