Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia

Newly diagnosed adult in my family and feeling very scared of what the future holds. 

 

 

Can anyone pffer any words of advice on helping them through this? What to say or what to do? Does anyone have any succcess stories to try and improve my outlook? Feeling like I have a huge black cloud over me  but know I need to be strong for them x

  • Hi there ... welcome to our little chat room... wer all a bit scared of what the future holds ...that’s why it’s good to live in the day ... so many people die suddenly with no time for goodbyes or hugs or words we’d love to have said to them ... you have a chance to help this relative who is on this journey... time no mater how short or long to have a few more memories an a few more hugs... and to say what’s in your heart ... it’s precious time.... make every day count ... take things as they pop up ... don’t look too far ahead ... and know every emotion you feel is natural, we’ve had them all... it’s part of loving someone very much .... sending you positive vibes ...   • Hi looking for success story..I had acute lymphoblastic leukemia way back in the 1970s,I was the 95th person in England to have the new trial of chemo, I was down to 3% blood ,there was no known dosage,no hick man lines no transplants other than blood from my own parents I was 16 months old. Treatment , knowledge and support has gone from strength to strength from theRe I am now 45 and very much alive and heathy all the best stay positive...if I can help at all let me know
