Thank you. Didn't mimd the surgery and am coping with the Tam (only been on it just over a week tho so early days) but bricking it about rt. Everything logical says that is unreasonable but still dreading it.

Hi I've had lumpectomy, tamoxifen and finished radiotherapy. I had a grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. Radiation treatment is fine - put E45 lotion on before you even start. I put it on before and during and still use it. Everyone reacts differently but you will be fine. Being tired was hard for me but yes, breathing calmly really helps and focus your mind on outcome. I cannot fault the staff as they made me feel comfortable & reassured. The whole thing is a journey and I met some amazing people whilst waiting at radiation appointments- truly inspiring. You'll be ok once you get through the first one. All the best and keep us posted. xx

Unfortunately, 'my journey' has been less than inspiring, so to say I'm cynical would be an understatement. Let's just say that I now treat everything that is said with a dose of cynicism that prior to this would not have existed.

Thank you. The redundancy thing is looming where I work as well and I know what you mean about the 'stay strong' thing and 'journey'.
