Stomach cancer

Waiting for results. Panics about dying at only 50. Not coping at all

  •

    Hi Zoe,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. You will find this a great place for support and information about all sorts of cancer, so I'm glad that you have found us early. Why panic about dying at only 50? Life is for living and, if our days are going to be limited, the best thing to do is to live it to the max whilst you are able to.

Not all cancers are death sentences. Treatments have come a long way in the past few years. I lost my Mum to breast cancer metastases in her liver, lungs, bones and brain 20 years ago. Even then she had 12 years from diagnoses until she passed. I was diagnosed 7 years ago and have had 2 bouts of primary breast cancer and I'm hoping to have longer than my Mum because treatments have changed so much in just 20 years. Do you have a family or friends who can support you if this turns out to be cancer?

Waiting for results is always a scary time. Have they told you yet when you will get your results?

Please keep in touch and let us know how you are getting on.There is always someone here whenever you feel like talking.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
