Sorry to read about your father. It is good news the cancer is still contained within the prostate. They may well keep him on hormone therapy for a few months to hopefully shrink the cancer then they will probably offer the Bracotherapy.

My gleeson was 3+3 =6 wich meant it was equal on both side of the prostate. I had a PSA of 70 which came down to 3.18 before I had my 37 sessions of radiotherapy. 12 weeks after finnishing radio, my psa was down to 0.01, the lowest they can measure.

So I hope my story will give you hope. Treatment is much improved these days, even since I had my treatment about 7 years ago, And the survival rates are increasing all the time.

I know both you and your dad must be worried. It is quite often the case that its harder for the family and friends than it is for the patient. For you are trying to appear positive and supportive while often falling apart inside.
