Welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear about your friend’s diagnosis. I am afraid that I know next to nothing about oesophageal cancer. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer.

I couldn’t tell you whether or not there is a liquid form of medication for her Diabetes and Hypertension. Why not ask the nurses on this site? They are usually very helpful and they have a Freephone number if you want to speak to them Tel:- 0808 800 4040. She could also ask her care team or her GP about this.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a crystal ball. It is impossible to say with any degree of accuracy how fast the cancer grows, or how long anybody has to live. Even prognoses given by consultants can be out by quite a lot.

Hopefully someone with oesophageal cancer will come along to talk to you soon. In the meantime, why not click the search engine on the blue band at the top of this page and enter ‘oesophageal cancer’? This will bring up previous posts on this site, which I’m sure that you will find useful.
