Hello,, I'm sorry you find yourself in this situation.   My hubby has lung cancer and our two grown up daughter's also found it hard.  We chose not to tell the three grandchildren under ten years and only said he is poorly.  You must stay strong and be there for him, try to be as normal as you can, Dad's want to be seen as strong.  Also you try to be honest with your family so every one is working from the same game plan.  Don't look things up on the Internet,  his Mc Millan nurse can talk to you with his permission, so it will be his history not someone else's.  Keep chatting to people on this forum they are a big help because we are all coping with cancer.  Stay Strong.  Caz

Hi. So sorry to hear about your dad. I am also going through the same. My dad did have the all clear from prostate cancer but has a few weeks ago had to have an emergency op to remove a tumour blocking his bowel. Spread to liver, stomach and lining. Absolutely devastated like you. It is such a shock. Life is so cruel. All I can say is try to enjoy your time together and make more memories if he feels strong enough. My dad is still recovering from his surgery before chemo to keep it all at bay for as long as possible but they have said it is incurable which is devastating. I too am so upset about the future so you are not alone. Stay strong xx
