Cracking on and not thinking too much about it sounds good to me. The only other advice is to avoid Googling! There's a lot of misinformation, disinformation and plain lies out there. Fortunes have been made selling quack "cures" to desperate people and a lot of people have died unnecessarily by stopping conventional treatment and using unproven and ineffective alternatives.
