Hell!!  this has been a huge shock to us. Only found out my elderly friend who I care for has mesothelioma in the last few days.

We're not really sure what to expect and when as this awful disease has differing rates and stages of progress depending on your health, at 82 years old we thought from previous scans/results he'd managed to swerve the asbestos conditions of his life long work place.

We are remaining as positive as we can be as in 12+ months he feels the same as he did.

The consultant and LC nurse so far have answered any questions we had but we now a few days later wonder could we of asked more.

I don't really know what I'm asking anyone on here to tell me as it's such an individual disease /state of health ect but if anyone out there has some good solid advice or guidance I'd definitely be greatful for that.

I'm not entirely without support to support him but he's so private and concerned with bothering people I've got a bumpy road ahead. But not nearly as bumpy as my pal..
