Chemotherapy after having a mini stroke.

Hi I wondered if anyone could give me some advice, my dad was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer and a cancer in his neck around 8 weeks ago, he started chemotherapy about 6 weeks ago and is due for his next chemotherapy in 3 weeks, but today he has suffered a mini stroke and I am just worried now that they won't carry on with his Chemo, I just wondered if anyone could give me some advice.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello, I am sorry to hear that you're going through so much at the moment. This may be related in a way but I am not sure, my husband was admitted to hospital recently with a suspected mini stroke (TIA) this was later diagnosed as a severe migraine with aura (and has not occurred since) - it was due to this attack that he had further tests done and it was discovered that he had Stage 4a Hodgkins Lymphoma, he has just started ABVD chemotherapy last week (July 18th) and will have 6 cycles for 6 months. However, before treatment our specialist did say that with Lymphoma, there can be other 'ghost' or 'ill diagnosed' symptoms that are related or caused my lymphoma but may not be detectable to proven by tests.
