Newly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer

The last month has been a double blow to our family. Both my sister and I have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer! I am 50 and my sister is 47. What are the chances of that? I am seeing the oncologist on Monday and will hopefully have a plan with chemo etc. I am being given advice all over the place Has anyone tried Essiac and does it work? What about turmeric capsules and cumin?

I am open minded and willing to try anything even CBD oil which has also been recommended.

I would love to speak to you if you have had this and come out the other side. Keeping positive and fighting the fight

  • Hi Alieves, Thats right it is a fight! And we have to be warriors. Action is the word that I am living by. Just been told that my cancer may be back and may have spread.- so another round of bloodtests and MRI scans.

I have to keep my mind occupied and reading the posts here is a way to do that. - so thanks for sharing. Currently researching 'alternative therapies' and intend to introduce tumeric into my every day cooking and not just on the odd occasion when I make a curry from scratch.

I think perhaps the most important thing for me is to keep my mind as busy as possible - so I am studying for my MA -also planning a busy summer travelling in our camper van.

    Fighting the Fight xxxxx
