My father in law was last week diagnosed with stage 4 cancer which is in his both lungs, liver, bones, pelvis and a tennis ball sized Tumor in his kidney, which is where is originated from.
They have said that the cancer is progressing aggressively and that he is not suitable for treatment, he has been put in touch with the palliative care team and also Macmillan nurses.
He was admitted to hospital as his calcium levels were elevated but has since been released from hospital and is now home. He otherwise looks well and the only pain he has is on his right side under his rib which he presented at the doctors with. He also has COPD Andy emphysema.
Has anyone else been in this situation, all of this in a week? How do you cope with it ? And really how much time do we have left ?
