I am not sure of your exact situation and how much time has passed since lung cancer was initially suspected. From what you have written it would appear that lung cancer was not confirmed on biopsy in your situation. The fact that the lung mass has remained stable over a period of time may mean that the mass is a slow growing cancer or a benign (non-cancerous) tumour. A biopsy of the tumour is needed to know for certain what the situation is.

I am sorry that I cannot be more specific but hope that a biopsy can be done soon to confirm what the nature of the tumour is.
