Hi, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 months ago and had a whipples procedure 6 weeks ago. I'm recovering well as it's a major op . Unfortunately the surgeon found a liver secondary and said my lymph nodes are malignant. He referred me to an oncologist for chemo as said no further surgery could help me. I'm waiting for a ct scan next week to see the extent of the spread before starting chemotherapy. I've done some research and they do appear to be some options e.g. Ablation for one. The oncologist said nothing can be offered except chemo and I feel everyone just thinks pancreatic cancer is a quick death sentence with no hope. Yet I've read success stories. My pancreatic tumour has gone as removed with surgery. I'm open to any advice/ hope anyone can offer. Maybe there are options private or abroad, all of which I would consider. I'm 51, don't drink, smoke and never been overweight. I was very fit pre surgery and recovering really well. I don't feel like I'm dying so won't give up. Any advice would be great from professionals or people who have been in my situation. Many thanks Donna
