I haven't been on here for a while as things have been going really well for me and I thought cancer had f***** right off out of my life. Today my husband told me my mum was diagnosed with BC on Monday. She didn't know how to tell me and didn't want to upset me as I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant (that's a whole other story!). The lump was found during a routine mammogram and it's only 6mm small so I'm thinking she's going to be fine once she's had a lumpectomy but I obviously can't help worrying all the same. I've been through it all myself having been diagnosed with BC in Nov 2013. I was assessed by a family history specialist who graded me moderate risk of carrying the gene, does anyone know if the fact my mum has now been diagnosed will immediately put me at high risk? And if so what they aren't likely to advise us both in this regard?? Thanks for reading xxx
