My mum has just been told on 02/05/17 she now has cancer in her liver & stomach just 7 weeks after being given the all clear following 12 weeks of chemo for lymph node cancer discovered after her check up following her removal of half her bowel on 15/09/16 after initial diagnosis of bowel cancer on 05/08/16. Stunned, choked and struggling to cope with the news. 4 different places in very quick succession, and she is very poorly at the moment and on steroids and morphine as liver is so large and she's in pain. We have already been told it's not operable, but she doesn't see the oncologist again until Monday to get the treatment plan, we just found out the diagnosis early as she ended up in hospital on Monday 01/05 due to her pain, and they went to find The results of tests and a CT scan she'd had last week that the oncologist had arranged as she'd been having pain and symptoms a few weeks. To me this just doesn't sound very good and I'm in bits, as are my siblings and family. Mum is 67, I'm 40 and feel utterly useless. Her and dad want to go alone to get the news on Monday and I'm scared we won't get to hear the truth if it's not good news. I know that no one can tell me what will happen, but just needed to share really, as she's been more poorly since she finished last chemo than when on it. Thanks for reading and so sorry that if you are on here you too are going through similar X
