My husband had Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2001, via a lump in his neck. He was successfully treated with chemotherapy & radiotherapy over the space of about a year, no surgery required other then the biopsy. Now, 2 weeks ago, on 23rd March he was diagnosed again, with a cancerous mass on/in his left lung. He's had multiple X-rays, a CT and PET-CT scan, as well as a whole raft of blood tests & lung function tests. Next Wednesday he's to have another scan, this time a CT guided lung biopsy. Hopefully, once those results are back, a treatment plan can be put in place. One of his consultants has said that it's either Hodgkins Lymphoma or a carcinoid tumour, both of them slow growing at the moment. If it's HL, it's chemotherapy/radiotherapy, but if it's the CTumour, it needs to be surgically removed first. Problem is, it's fvery close to his heart & would mean 2 months out of action. We run a very busy mobile dog grooming business and luckily our clients are great and will wait for us to get back to full flight. We are, however, both worried about the effect on him, & our business. Financially, he doesn't have Life cover now as he claimed criticall illness last time, so we are holding our breath!!
Just wanted to share, and voice my concern. We've been together 20yrs and he's my world. We NEED to beat this again.
