Calcification and Tumour.

Hi,

Was just wondering, has anyone else been diagnosed with a Testicular Seminoma and Calcifications? Iv read a journal stating that it was a rare occurance and that it means that the likelihood of C reoccurring in the other testicle by eight to ten fold?

  • Hi Peteted,

    Welcome to the forum!

We have had a number of members here with testicular cancer but I've not been able to find any posts on the forum that also specificially mention calcifications - although that's not to say that members haven't.

It's really tempting to research and read lots of information when a diagnosis of cancer is given. There are some great reliable sources out there. We have a section on our website about testicular cancer that might be helpful to you. There are also a lot of sources of information that aren't so accurate and reliable so try to stick to reputable sources - particularly if you are looking online.

I'm not sure about the speicifcs of your question but you might like to either post in our Ask the Nurses topic area or maybe even give them a ring to ask them. They are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040 (free to call from a UK landline).

Best wishes for your treatment Peteted and keep in touch to let us know how you're doing.
