Newly diagnosed lung with secondary head metastases

Recently diagnosed, and its all still a bit unreal. Luckily I have the ALK mutation, well I think it's lucky as I can just take my drugs at home and don't need to be infused. Feel remarkably well, just a bit tired. Making sure we get out when we can as I don't want my husband to remember me just lying around in bed! Been told I will never drive again which has been the hardest thing to take and it's brought home to us that moving to the country may not have been the wisest move. We'll be moving again soon!

  • Hello Sevvy7,

good to see you are feeling well and getting out. I had breast cancer 17 years ago , then mets in my lung and brain 18 months ago. I had an op on my brain met and couldn't drive for a year after . I am on hormone tablets that are controlling things at present.. Keep going out, I would hate to be stuck at home. Hope things continue to go well.
