I'm sorry to hear you need more operations and can understand why you may be feeling scared but try not to jump to any conclusions just yet. I know that is a lot easier said than done but keep busy and distract yourself until the time of your next operation comes so you're not thinking about it too much. 

We'll have our fingers crossed that the results of your next operation come back clear too. Do come back and let us know how you got on with the operation and what the results are when you get them.

hi clare - I was in the same situation as you - following on from the first operation which did identify a small cancer in my breast, I needed a  wider excision and lymph node sentinal - - I am delighted to say that the second operation came back clear - thank god- I do still need some further treatment to make sure but so far so good. - I like you was scared witless - trouble was the results were not back when I was told and had the follow up appointment - that was incredibly hard as was not told till 4 hours before my appointment - - only told 2 very close people - would worry about what to say to everyone else once I definately knew - at the moment I feel very strange - - one minute I am eleated and the next confused

Operation date is 30th March. Trying to hold myself together for the sake of my hubby and kids but its so hard!

Operation was 2 days ago and am in a lot of pain. 2 lymph nodes removed from my right breast and wide excision done on my arm.

Approx 2/3 weeks for results now.

To be hounest I have forgotten about the results due to the pain from recovering. I dnt do rest well but am trying.

Sorry to hear your in pain. I had a lymphnode dissection in my groin in May 16, eleven nodes removed, one positive for melanoma. Im now stage 3. I dont do rest well  either, but you do need to give in to let yourself heal.

I had a couple of months off work. But back to "normal" now. I have been NED since surgery with 3 monthly check ups and 6 monthly scans.

Hope the pain subsides soon and very best of luck with your results. Most importantly....take good care of yourself!! 

Thank you. I am trying so hard to rest as I know it is important. Fighting with myself to get dressed or visit the toilet is driving me insane and then there is the dam housework! I know all those things can wait but I get so easily annoyed at the sight of mess xx
