Hello patsydarling, 

I'm really sorry to hear your best friend of 26 years has been diagnosed with grade 3 ductal breast cancer but it's great you're going to be with her at the hospital when she has surgery and staying with her after until she's recovered. Many members here have been in the same position when supporting their friends and loved ones on their cancer journeys and hopefully some of them will post soon to share their advice and experiences with you.

Many members have found the forum to be a great source of strength and comfort during times like these so post as much as you need to and remember that we'll be with you every step of the way.
