Hey Nadiia
Ah thats great news, I'm glad to hear that. I bet you are relieved. I had my CT scan this week and radiotherapy will start on the 04th June. I will have 3 weeks of treatment then all done!
Ok so you have one more opp coming up. Hopefully things will be calmer then in September. I only had my mastectomy, they will do the reconstruction later maybe in a years time.
We sure are warriors!
Hope you having a good weekend

Hi Nadiia, thank you for sharing.
My mom has stage 4 TNBC she has been first diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer 4~5years ago, it was removed completely after both surgery and chemo. But it came back in her lungs then in her brain, it started spreading quite fast, and on top of it she lost soo much weight. The doctors started doing radiotherapy and it removed all the cancer from her brain and 50% from her lungs but I have just learned today for my father that the beast is growing again in new places !! It is actually soo hard dealing with this especially that my parents live in a different country and I haven’t been able to visit them for a year now due to covid. My mom is in the hospital, I want to visit her but I am so scared to take the risk to travel and end up bringing covid home. My father has been taking care of her all these years although he is tired. I want to go home and help but I am scared.
Also may I ask what treatment you’ve got please?
thank you and stay safe!
Hi.
I have 4 times carboplarin and 12 weekly paclitaxel and after 3 times EC after sergery
Wish you all the best
Hi Mich.

Hey Nadiia
Thank you I'm doing ok ;) My rads finished at the end of June so getting used to normality in an abnormal world! It was a year ago yesterday that i started treatment with my first chemo. Weird to think a whole year has gone by!
My kness and hips dont ache anymore which is a relief. I keep busy baking and going out for walks whilst the weather is still good. I'm on leave for the next couple of weeks and have a catch up with occupational health and then I'll start work on a phased return. They have been very good to me so cant complain.
I signed up to do a course 'moving forward'. it cant be done face to face at the moment so i'm going to do it online. Must actually start today. it helps you cope with moving forward after everything we have been through.
I still have swelling under my arm, nothing major but is still there and a bit achey, including my hand. My radiologist says it could be nerve damage with my hand so must check with the breast care nuse.
How are you doing? How do you feel treatment is finished?
Sending big hugs

Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom's diagnosis. It is really tough, especially being so far away. My mom lives in South Africa and haven't been able to visit her for a while, and she hasn't been able to come over to see me throughout my treatment. Its so scary now. She has to have a bypass operation at the end of this month.
Is there anyone elese close to your parents that can support them. If you are able to fly out I would go, as time is so precious.
Thinking of you at this difficult time.
Hugs xx
Hi nadia
i too have tnbc BRAC2. I'm nearly half way through my paclitaxel and already done EC.
mat the beginning of my diagnosis my surgeon said they will do a double mastectomy and recon on the same day but due to covid they will only do a mastectomy on the breast which had the cancer and not reconstruction because of covid. Also my treatment was the wrong way round, they did a lumpectomy before my chemo because of covid. So now we don't even know if the chemo has worked.
I was wondering if the nhs have offered you the other operation yet?
i hope you are well.
sharon
Hi Sharon.i finish my chemo 5 of April and have surgery on one side on May before covid my doctor plan was same as your and they change only to one side and no reconstruction .I was supposed to ok other surgery in September but they change again.i was looking to have privately it's cost up to 15000 but they stop doing surgery's too.so only one option keep calm and wait.hope you will be fine too
