New to internet

just started chemo for breast cancer, feel very low

  • That's understandable, its harsh, but it is do-able.  I'm six cycles in to a course of eight and can finally see the end in sight. Is it the side effects that are making you feel low or the whole being diagnosed?  You can do this and if you need help, if you need to ask questions or just vent then do it, just never feel like you are alone.  Xx

  • Hi Cory,

its natural to feel low. I've just finished FEC-t for breast cancer. When I started it was very overwhelming and I really didn't know how I was going to get through it, but I did.

This is a brilliant forum to chat, ask advice and vent your frustrations when you feel the need.

Please don't ever feel alone, there are lots of people on her who will be willing to chat and share their experience with you.

sending best wishes to you x

  • I finished chemo on the 19.12.16, it still feels unreal to write that! I never ever ever thought i would be able to cope but strangely it became my new normal. I six cycles of chemo , drugs fec-t, every three weeks. I took each day as it came and dealt with the future in three week blocks, it helped. I also have the best breast care nurse and have used the hospital consuller. You will get through it, although you may come out the other end slightly differant but for all the right reasons. Talk to people, i found it easier to talk to hospital staff as they had the facts and aren't emotionally involved as much as family. Talk to me, i know how important it is to have someone.

    Lots of love
