Worried about Womb cancer op

I have been referred from my local hospital to better equipped hospital not too far away and my Consultant at the local hospital told me 2 weeks ago the Consultant at the other one made mention at a Team Meeting that I I could be considered for robotic surgery which would be ideal for me as my two children 41 and 38 were born by Caesarian but the long downward operations and my scar took ages to heal after it was opened and very painful.   I want do know if anybody has had keyhole surgery in similar circumstances to mine as the very thought of having my scar opened again fills me with dread.

  • Hello Paddy123,

I hope everything goes well with your surgery. I can understand why you are very worried about the prospect of having your scar opened again where you had a caesarian section before. I hope you will get to hear from the experiences of other ladies here who have had surgery in similar circumstances.

I think it might be a good idea to give our expert nurses a call and to discuss your worries about the scar and the surgery with them as they may be able to tell you more about it. You can ring them on this free number 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. They're really friendly so don't hesitate to pick up the phone!

Best of luck with the operation! Do let us know how it goes if you get a chance.

    Best wishes,
