I'm new to this so bare with.... my mother in law was diagnosed with oesophagus cancer 2 weeks ago. After some long vigorous tests and pet scans. She's been told they won't operate, she had a stent fitted on Wednesday to try and open up her windpipe to allow her to eat and drink....she's been told that the cancer has spread into her lynphnodes, stomach, chest. If she is well enough they are going to start her with chemo to try and shrink it......we feel in the dark as we know she's holding back information as to not worry us but we need to know just how long we have her for? I know no one on here can give me this answer but if anyone whose had this and lived to tell the tale then I'd love to hear from you??? This is such a devastating time for us all, she's a young 65 year old. No age!!!
