Lymphoma back

my lymphoma has returned and this time radiation treatment has been recommended rather than chemo which I'm happy about because although the chemo worked and killed the cancer it also caused so much damage to my body and I'll never be the same...still coming to terms with that

my question is what are the side effects of the radiation treatment...I've been advised that it will like a sunburnt but I will be given cream for this.  As I wasn't fully informed about all the side effects of the chemotherapy I was wondering if there were any other side effects of the radiation

  • Hello Loverlyjubbly,

I am sorry to hear your lymphoma has returned and I hope the radiation treatment goes well.

I am not sure whether you were diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma or Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

If it is Hodgkin Lymphoma, you can find out more about radiotherapy side effects here.

For non Hodgkin Lymphoma, you can find out more about radiotherapy and its side effects here.

Don't hesitate to ring our nurses on this free number 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and they will be able to answer any question you may have on lymphoma radiotherapy and its possible side effects.

    I hope this helps!

    Best wishes,
