Lymphoma stage 4

Hi my father has been diagnosed today with stage 4 lymphoma. He is 77 years old. I am absolutely terrified after we received the news today. My father has been complaining of pain around his neck and abnormal bloating feeling over the last few years. Every time we went A+E they ran an ECG test and blood tests and said he was fine and sent him home. After much anticipation the GP ordered a neck ultrasound which showed swollen lymph glands and followed by a bone marrow biopsy we got the devastating news today. The doctors said this type of cancer was treatable with intent to cure? Please if anyone can relate to this do speak with me so I can understand this a bit more and could also do with all your support

  • Google will always give you the worst scenario.

There are many symptoms that coincide with lymphoma. Night sweats, pain in lumps when drinking alcohol, weight loss and fatigue etc. I had none of these but lumps in collarbones, armpits and sternum/ chest. They grew over time (years)

a simple bloods test from your doctor will determine what it is :)

try not to worry! Please let us know how you get on! Xx
