Hi, I'm new to this, sorry if I'm doing this wrong

hi,

i have been diagnosed with secondary triple negative breast cancer in liver and lungs and have been put on paclitaxel to hopefully shrink tumors, just wondering if any one else is similar

  • Welcome to the forum Juwhite although I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

How long have you been taking paclitaxel for? I hope it's going ok so far and are adjusting to the side effects if you are experiencing any. There are quite a few members on the forum that have been in a similar position to yourself and have experience of taking paclitaxel. Hopefully you will hear from some of them soon but do feel free to use the 'search forum' option above to enter keywords and find previous discussions as well. You could also change the title of your discussion to mention your diagnosis as it will make it easier for members to find your discussion when searching the forum themselves.

I hope this helps and we'll have our fingers crossed that that paclitaxel helps to shrink the tumours.

    All the best,

  • I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in my liver. They've put me on capecitabine I was only diagnosed in January this year so treatment has only just started but hopefully this will shrink my tumour. I am having another scan early March to see if anything has changed.

    Take care

  • Hi Lisa. I have just recently last month infact been diagnosed with Secondary to my Liver and have been put on Capecitabine just started round 2. Would love to hear how you are and how your doing. Are you still on the same drug hope it's working for you. At the moment I feel fine and no real side affects apart from the feet. It's a very scary journey and looking for hope. X

  • Hi Annette,

I noticed you were hoping to hear from Lisamcs but as they haven't been on the forum since 2017 there is a chance you may not get to hear how she is getting on now.

If Lisamcs doesn't get back to you then do feel free to look for more recent discussions about this or/and start another discussion of your own.

I'm glad you're feeling well and the Capecitabine is working well for you but if you have any questions or concerns then you're very welcome to get in touch with our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,
