  • Hi Diney, Is yours a RCC? I'm not a medical expert but I read a lot of great things about RCC. For one, RCC is one of those tumors that has a high probability to undergo a spontaneous regression. This is specially true (even on metastatic cases) if the primary tumor has been removed. So you, undegoing a successful surgery, had greatly increases the chances of your tumor not coming back. Second, a healthy immune system is said to be very effective against RCC. Surgery will greatly stress your body, so its better that you invest your time now in strengthening your immune system. Eating healthy diet, regular exercise, and adequate rest, as you may have know, are very important in boosting the immune system. And not only that, it will also give you more confidence and a more positive outlook in life. On the other hand needless worries, unnecessary mental stress, and negative thinking can bring it down. So try to focus more on enjoying life, looking forward to the future, building healthy relationships, and living a more relax worry-free lifestyle.

  • Hi Diney,

RCC stands for Renal Cell Carcinoma which is supposed to be the most common type of kidney cancer.

I got a fist size tumor on my left kidney that spread in the nearby lymph nodes and liver. Very poor prognosis according to my doctor even if i undergo a surgery, so i opted for active surveillance instead and would just let nature run its course.

Right now, Im just trying to live a normal life. Aside from my early retirement at the age of 36, my day to day activities are pretty typical and normal. From time to time the symptoms would show up, reminding me to enjoy my life while it last.
