My husband has just been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma at back of his tongue down his throat. He did not visit doctor until a lump started to grow on his neck and we have been told it has spread to his lymph node. He has had biopsys done on both and we are waiting for results. We have been told that radiotherapy and chemotherapy are likely in January. He is very concerned about his speech and other side affects. Has anyone else been through a similar thing as we are very worried. He is only 51 and a non smoker.
