Welcome to the forum Carolee although I'm sorry to hear about your dad's diagnosis and the reason it has brought you here.

I'm not sure what your dad's medical team have told you about each treatment and the possible outcomes but I have found some information on our website here that may help give you more insight. 

I hope you get to meet others that have been in a similar situation soon but it may be a worth giving our cancer nurses a call so you can discuss your dad's situation with them in more detail.
