  • Hello candle76,

I just wanted to welcome you to Cancer Chat. All this must still be very raw for you as you only got diagnosed a few days ago and you probably feel there is so much uncertainty to deal with as you are waiting to have your operation.

I hope you will get to connect with others here who have experience of a neuroendocrine tumour in the small bowel. We have some information on our website on neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) here which I hope you will find useful. If you want to have a chat about your surgery or about anything that worries you, don't hesitate to ring our expert team of nurses on this free number 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Do you have a date for the surgery? I hope you don't have to wait too long.

We are keeping everything crossed for you that everything goes well for you. Do keep us updated if you get a chance.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello candle76,

Oh poor you having to be in hospital for Christmas. I hope you won't be alone and that you have family near you. We will be thinking of you and hope it all goes well. It won't be too long now before you can find out more and are able to ask questions but I know the wait can be really hard in the meantime and feel like an eternity.

I hope this forum will help you feel a bit better and that it will put you in touch with others in a similar situation.

    Lucie
