I'm sorry to hear about your mouth cancer diagnosis.

im sorry to hear your news this must be a worrying time for you as you are at the start of your cancer journey
as for me, well I am just over two years post treatment for the same cancer
and I'm doing well
this is as much an education process for you about the particular type of cancer you have..... yes they are all different and we all go through the same cancers in a different way
there are many people on here like myself who can help you with suggestions that may help you through your treatment
so you most probably have loads of questions but why don't you start by telling us where you are in your journey
Yesterday, I was diagnosed with cancer on my tongue. They said that they have caught it early and that it will need about and inch being taken off my tongue. They also said I might take out the lymph nodes in my neck as the cancer can go there next. I had a CAT and MRI scan and there is no spread and the cancer did not show up even on the mri. It was diagnosis by biopsy. I am scared about the aftermath of the surgery and the problems that may occur from the surgery. I have read up on the mortality rates of this type of cancer. I want to survive until old age ... I feel sick but about the thoughts of what I will hav to face. I need some positivity and info from people who have had this and come out the other side.
